The Shame - The World is Ours EP (2012)

The Shame are Oi band from Tulsa, Oklahoma but they sound like they live in some shitty english town in the early 80s. Even the football on this record is real football, as in european football, not american armor-and-egg-ball football. Musically, it's classic Oi punk with no innovations, faithfull to its roots (on "The Kings Of The Midwestern Plains" I noticed almost identical riff as in Rejects' Oi Oi Oi, but who cares anyway). If you miss old-school classic Oi this record will bring a smile to your face... but it's recommended to drink at least a pint while listening to it.

1. The World Is Ours Tonight
2. Nothing Gained
3. For Football And The Pints
4. The Kings Of The Midwestern Plains

Balthasar Gerhards Kommando - a dutch feast... the complete works of balthasar gerards kommando (1999)

B.G.K. were a Dutch hardcore punk band from the 80s. The band were named after a Dutch historical figure named Balthasar Gerards, who assassinated the king of the Netherlands in 1584. Balthasar Gerards Kommando were formed in the early 1980s by members of Amsterdam punk band The Nitwitz. Rejecting the then-popular trend to emulate British Oi bands, BGK took their musical cues from American hardcore bands such as MDC, and soon developed an ultrafast style of their own. The band was also committed to following through with its leftist political stance, both in terms of the punk scene (the band set up DIY shows with low door prices, and put out affordable records on their own label) and in a wider political spectrum (they often played benefits for various causes, and helped run the Emma squat in Holland). A Dutch Feast...The Complete Recorded Works of Balthasar Gerards Kommando collects everything the Amsterdam hardcore band B.G.K. recorded, including the LPs Jonestown Aloha (1983) and Nothing Can Go Wrong (1986), the contents of the 7" single "White Male Dumbinance," a previously unreleased alternate version of "Arms Race," and a few songs the band contributed to compilations.

Brutal Knights - Feast Of Shame (2007)

This is a fast hardcore punk band from Toronto. Their oversimplified lyrics are mostly about laziness and hedonism of internet-era youth. This music has food scraps all over it, so much that it could be called Food Punk. Listening to them, I can't help imagining that they are what would Ramones be if they were born 20-something years later. Perfect soundtrack for night marathons of getting high, playing video games and eating crap food.

Desecrators - Caught in the act / Cloned to obey Demotape(1985-1987)

This is a lesser known (?) UK Crossover band from the 80s, led by Gizz Butt of English Dogs, The Prodigy and The Destructors fame. UK82 punk with heavy metal solos and extreme speed, like GBH, Motorhead and Iron Maiden had a bastard child. This is what Desecrators sound like. And I really like the cover artwork.
