It seems that my MF account has been suspended. I would lie if I were act surprised, but it's a real shame... Now almost all download links here are worthless and I have to start uploading shit on Zippyshare. Despite all this, BBAF is here to stay...

Lazy Bastards - Hard Lines and Sweet Sounds (2012)

Lazy Bastards are a 5 piece streetpunk band from Mitterskirchen/Pfarrkirchen, Germany. This record provides mighty sound with lots of singalongs and rock'n'roll guitar riffs. The beginning of Anti Hero is a hit in the gut, with that blues touch on the guitar. Overall, this whole album offers wide range of punk rock songs: some are aggressive, some are melancholic but all awesome.

Opposition Rising - Aftermathematics (2011)

Here's the first LP by Opposition Rising, new Boston City Hardcore Punk act featuring members from Mouth Sewn Shut and Toxic Nartotic. Opening of this album with the hard hitting track Rising will make shivers come down your spine and that notion will continue throughout the second track, The Rich Are Killing The Poor. By the end of this LP there will be unusual appearance of Reggae elements, which I personally find amusing but also ass-kicking.

Argy Bargy - Hopes, Dreams, Lies & Schemes (2012)

New album by these Oi Punk heroes from Watford, England. Argy Bargy is making furious comeback since their last album "The Likes of Us" from 2009. With the cover artwork that looks like it was made by Banksy, this album doesn't lack actual social commentary as well as classic Oi themes such as localpatriotism or some personal themes. Tracks number 14 and 17 deliver music that's a little bit different than the rest of the album, first being pub rock anthem featuring Frankie Flame (at least I think so) and second being their excursion into Dub waters. A release worth downloading (and buying also).

1) Out with the Old
2) Burning Skies

The Newtown Grunts - Day Of The Jakey (1997)

One of Scottish finest bands of all time. The Newtown Grunts, from Glenrothes, started in 1991 as Kicked Pus, playing Ska Punk. This album contains awesome numbers, a mixture of almost all kinds of Punk, sang by male and female vocalist, which, in this case, sounds really great. It concludes with "They Shall Not Pass", an hommage to 1936 Cable Street protests against Oswald Mosley's fascist blackshirts and a cover of Abba song, Super Trooper.

Blackmarket Syndicate - And the Peasants Rejoiced (2012)

Blackmarket Syndicate comes from Houston, Texas. Grown from the legacy of Rancid and Social Distortion and early Dropkick Murphys, their music is a furious street-level Punk Rock that spits in the eyes of bosses, politicians and other creatures from hell. Songs like Plead The 5th, Greed And Hate, Victorious, Household Name or Disenfranchised Rebellions really use their potential. Fully recommended!

The Lillingtons - Death By Television (1999)

The Lillingtons were a Punk Rock band from Newcastle, Wyoming. Considered a pop punk act by contemporaries, their sound often draws comparisons from punk pioneers the Ramones. It's obvious taht they draw influence from Bad Religion, as well. This album presents 14 melodic journeys at the B-side of the universe: science fiction themes and motifs wrapped in a melodic Punk Rock packing that can easilly be enjoyable during this hot summer.

Booze & Glory - Trouble free (2011)

Their second album and even better one. All the kickassing elements of Oi! are here stretched to the maximum. Tracks like Never Return, Always Left Behind and Never Returned are eruptions of working class resentment packed in aggressive yet melodic Punk Rock with frequent uplifting singalongs and simple guitar solos. Common Oi! themes as taking pride in yourself, hard working class life, drinking booze and hating poseurs are accompinied by the critique of online generation. Get some beer to drink with this album and enjoy!

Booze & Glory - Always on the wrong side (2010)

Booze & Glory are an Oi! Punk band coming from South East London, the very birthplace of this genre. They are faithfull in following the footsteps of all the classics of a genre, but they do it more than all right. This is their first full-length album and it contains angry Oi! music with all the common tropes but the display of current social climate in the UK, as well.

2. Working Class Hero
3. 'Cause We're Skinheads

The Beltones - Cheap Trickets (2001)

This is the Beltones' second album and maybe even more awesome then the first one. It's basically still the same rudimentary streetpunk music, but cleverly layered and accompanied by vocals that sounds like a monologue of a jaded man who smoked too many cigarettes, drank too much and got into a fight. At the first listening, songs might sounds similar but give it a chance, you won't be disappointed.

The Beltones - On Deaf Ears (1999)

The Beltones are (were?) a 3-piece streetpunk band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and they make some serious shit. Musically close to Stiff Little Fingers and Swingin Utters with a gruff vocal similar to Frankie Stubbs from Leatherface. Add some Oi! to the mix and personal themed lyrics and there you have the Beltones. If you like The Templars or old pre-nazi Skrewdriver The Beltones will also please your auditory system. Here's a review of this album so I wouldn't have to crap anymore. Review

South City Locos - Punkrock's Dead (2011)

South City is Malmö, Sweden and "Locos" are a fire-bursting Street punk crew that will make you mosh in your own room if necessary. When I first heard them, I thoght they are from California or US Southwest, because of the name, well-pronounced English and sudden appereance of Mexican Mariachis at the end of the title song. Some great lyrics that song has. White Feathers, Good Times and Punkrock's Dead are, in my opinion, maybe the best songs on this album, but others are not far away. So listen them and remember - Punkrock's dead... we killed it again.

01. Front Towards Enemy
02. Cool Smooth Latino Dude

Stumbling Pins - Aged Colours And Behaviours (2012)

Young Punx from Kiel, Germany, released their first album in 2012 Aged Colours And Behaviours that features 9 songs. It's basically Street Punk with very melodic singing (one would call it Pop-Punk but whatever) and highly socially engaged lyrics. All songs are swell, but the chorus on Aged Colours And Behaviours with amazing sing-a-long (A.C.A.B.!) is definatelly the top-moment of this album. These boys are really worth checking out and supporting them.

01 - On The Roads To Nowhere
02 - The Money
03 - Generation Fear
04 - Kill Me If You Can
05 - Follow The Lie
06 - Aged Colours And Behaviours
07 - Paradise Breakdown
08 - Forgotten Souls
09 - Abused Bodies

Beans - So It Goes (2002)

This album, with a Vonnegutian title, is the second one by the hands of Beans. Unlike Sundown, from 2006, which I already posted, this album is a bit more hardcore, faster and angrier. But, by no means any worse. It's hard to highlight any songs, but Cold Hearted and Hating Men are extremely uplifting and ass-kicking.

1. Machine
2. No Destination
3. Don't Judge Me
4. Cold Hearted
5. My Generation
6. Carry On
7. Drop Dead
8. Can't Tell You

Standard Union - Demo (2010)

Standard union are from Adelaide, Australia and these guys play rudimentary Street Punk-rock with some Folk touch, similar to Swingin Utters. This is the demo release from 2010, although they play since 2002 so you should keep eye on them and their work in the future. For me, an ultimate hit from this demo is a song "As The Bottle Empties". You can hear some of the songs here.

01 - A Worker's Prayer
02 - Born For Hanging
03 - Such Is Life
04 - As The Bottle Empties

Secret Army - Crush the remains (2012)

A new album by the hands and throats of these 3 fellas from Barcelona. Much like their previous releases, this one is a powerful collection of angry, yet melodic songs. Tearing guitar riffs and middle-fast tempo with very catchy and melodic singalong chourses in the vein of Rancid and Cock Sparrer. However, their musical evolution is noticeable and despite listening to a plenty of other similar bands, I feel that Secret Army has something special. This album is released in just perfect time for being a soundtrack of this spring.

01 - Combat Ready
02 - Guns At The Door
03 - Another Way
04 - Sleepless In Stockholm
05 - Uprising

Cranked Up - A Call For Solidarity (2003)

I'm back again with this master-piece. Cranked Up is a streetpunk band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US and consists of ex-members of bands like Violent Society, 2.5 Children, Bomb Squadron and Dead Empty. Their music is pure "in your face" street level punk-rock with anti-fascist attitude (which is obvious judging by the album covers). They call themselves "left wing scum" :D Every song is fucking brilliant, but I would highlight songs like Emo-tionally challenged, Guilty Conscience, Left Wing Scum, Jaded, Don't Need Your Culture and an excellent cover of mod punk band The Cigarettes They're Back Again. Their sound can be described as a mix of Pressure Point and Lower Class Brats so you better download it before mediafire deletes this link!

01 - All Fucked Up
02 - Emo Tionally Challenged
03 - Guilty Conscience
04 - Left Wing Scum

Malignus Youth - Vinyl CD (1999)

While I listen mostly Streetpunk and Hardcore music, I like to take pauses from "classic" punk riffs and shouting every now and then. So this band was an important revelation for me. Everything about this band is interesting, starting from their background: they come from Sierra Vista, Cochise County, Arizona, the middle of nowhere were Apaches used to roam. Their basic musical layer is fast hardcore punk, but vocals build complex harmonic structure similar to medieval religious choruses and classical music. If anything, one should check this band, because of its extraordinary originallity and boundary breaking, not to mention great music.

1. Malignus Youth
2. I Think I Know
3. Go Ahead
4. Again
5. So This Is Life

Beans - Sundown (2006)

A punk rock deliquatese. Beans are a dutch streetpunk band, but their music reflects likes of such punk legends as The Clash, Bad Religion and Rancid, with unique ska punk and even dub spice brought to mix. Social commentary in lyrics is strong and it blends great with anthemic chourses, awesome music and apocalyptical artwork design. They aren't ashamed to use wide vocabulary and musical abilities, with no loss in roughness. On some of the songs, there is an organ present, ska style. If you find bands like The Filaments, Antidote, Operation Ivy and Bad Religion great, you'll love this band, because it sounds like a bastard child of the aforementioned bands. One of the best records I've heard in a long time - strongly recommended!

The Rebel Spell - Four Songs About Freedom (2007)

Just discovered this band and it's fucking awesome. Melodic streetpunk + non-generic lyrics and anti-capitalist attitude. Canada strikes again. Highly recommended!

Ok, since I'm limited in network speed I'll just put a link from great blog Fruitonia

Greg Graffin - Cold As A Clay (2006)

Second solo album by Bad Religion's singer Greg Graffin. In his own words, it's an hommage to american folk and country rock music which influenced his work in BR. Great listening experience.
